Chain of Communication

Academic Concerns (grades, homework, accommodations, tests)

  1. Talk with your child
  2. There needs to be a meeting between the student and the teacher. This meeting can be initiated by the student, the parent or the teacher.
  3. If any of the three parties (teacher, student or parents) still feel that the conflict is not resolved, a meeting between the parent and the teacher may be called by any party. The student need not be present. Contact should be made via email, telephone 389-3273 or in person.

Parent/Guardian

  1. Communicate with Case manager or Counselor
  2. Communicate with Principal.
  3. Communicate with Superintendent
  4. Communicate with School Board

Social Concerns (school refusal, bullying, peer relations)

  1. Talk with your child
  2. Have your child talk to Counselor, Teacher, or Staff member

Parent/Guardian

  5. Behavior Concerns

(discipline referrals)

  1. Talk with your child

  3. Speak with School Principal (determines the consequence)
  4. Communicate with Superintendent

School Concerns (school safety, harassment, school staff relations)

  1. Speak with your child
  2. Child should speak to Principal

Bus Concerns

(pick up/drop off, peer relations)

  1. Speak with your child
