Families on our census receive valuable information regarding services, screening, events, and Kindergarten Roundup.


Guitar Lessons

Spencer Walton, our Elementary Music teacher, will be offering guitar lessons in half an hour time slots on Mondays and Tuesdays starting February 4th!  He has a guitar available to use or bring your own.  Lessons will be $18/session starting February 4-June 4, a total of 18 weeks.  List your preference and Spencer will contact you with your scheduled time.

When:  Mondays and Tuesdays

Time:  3:30-5:30p in half an hour sessions

Where: Elementary Music room

Cost: $18/session (up to $324)

Ages:  7 and up

*Please note, children cannot be unattended in the school.  If they need to stay afterschool before or after their lessons, please make arrangements with Bomber Club.  251-1501 or

“Strings n’ Things

Come make some awesome String Art with Julie DeMeyer from Superior!  There will be 4 choices to chose from.  Photos will be available on the website.  All supplies and materials are provided.  She also has Take & Make kits for an additional cost!

CABS Babysitting

Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) / American Safety & Health Institute ( Learn the responsibilities of being a prepared, safe, responsible and professional babysitter. Topics include starting your own babysitting business, child development, behavior guidance, supervision, proper feeding & diapering techniques, personal safety, medical emergencies, basic first aid care, and fire safety. Students receive a Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) book and will demonstrate the required knowledge and skill objectives for the ASHI approved Child and Babysitting Safety certification card. The instructor provides baby dolls, bottles, diaper supplies for skills participation. The course is developed by the American Safety and Health Institute and approved by the American Pediatrics Association. Students attend this class independently. Parents are encouraged to review the take-home information and discuss it with their child.

Home Alone

Just mention the words “Home Alone,” and children think of the excitement depicted in the movies of the same name. The reality of being home alone can evoke fear and anxiety in many children. Whether left alone for an hour after school or several hours a day during the summer, children should feel comfortable being alone. This workshop for children will address several topics relating to being “Home Alone” including personal safety tips, tricky people, basic first aid, fire safety, handling the unexpected, internet safety, gun safety, dealing with loneliness and boredom, storm safety, dealing with siblings as well as trust and honesty.

Be Prepared, Not Scared 

Young children who are taught basic emergency concepts like how to call 911 can turn into Heroes in emergency situations. One of the most important things for them to know are basic first aid steps to follow in different circumstances. Class topics include recognizing an emergency and knowing what to do, calling 911, basic first aid techniques, personal safety tips, tricky people, gun safety and fire safety. Students attend this class independently. Parents are encouraged to review the take home information and discuss it with their child.
