Head Lice Information
Head lice are a nuisance! Not something any of us want to find on our children (or ourselves)! Unfortunately head lice infestations are a reality for some people. Even though head lice are not easily transmitted in a school setting, we want to take precautions to help keep our students free of head lice. We ask that parents check their children regularly (at least weekly) for signs of lice. Lice are easier to get rid of the sooner that they are detected. If you notice lice, please treat your child and make sure they are free of lice before sending them back to school. A few recommended web sites for information on the treatment of head lice are the Minnesota Department of Health website at www.health.state.mn.us, the CDC website at www.cdc.gov, the Minnesota Lice Lady at www.mn.licelady.com or The Lice Lounge at www.TheLiceLounge.com. The Lice Lounge is a hair care center in Duluth that provides lice treatment.
