Internal / External Position:

  • Reading and Math Tutors at Barnum Elementary

    Do you want to build a brighter future in our community? Barnum Elementary is looking for passionate, dependable people to serve with Minnesota Reading and Math Corps. Join us as a tutor and help students get on track to become successful readers. We’re looking to fill these positions for the 2017-18 school year:
    – PreK Literacy Tutor (Part Time)
    – Kindergarten Focus Tutor (Full Time)
    – K-3 Literacy Tutor (Full Time)
     – 4-6 Math Tutor (Full Time)
    Tutors come from many backgrounds and include recent high school and college grads, career changers, stay-at- home parents, and retirees. With training, support from onsite coaches, and evidence-based strategies, Reading and Math Corps tutors are well-equipped to change lives. No previous teaching experience necessary! Tutors earn a living allowance, education award to repay student loans or pay tuition, and federal student loan forbearance. Tutors may be eligible for health insurance and child care assistance.   • Summer Reads VISTA

    Full-time position for 8 weeks from mid-June to mid-August at Barnum Elementary School. VISTAs plan and implement the Camp Read-a-Lot program to promote literacy in elementary –aged children. Barnum Public Schools accepts applications on an ongoing basis for subs in the following positions:

  • Bus Drivers – Substitute
