  • Early Childhood Teacher Assistant, Long-Term Substitute

    Beginning 9/6/17, 4 Days/Week to start. This position falls under Barnum Community Education and will assist early childhood teachers in the classroom as well as provide office support as needed. End date has not yet been determined.   • Elementary Teacher Long-Term Substitute (3 Positions)

    Two 12-week positions, one beginning approx. 9/22/17 and the other beginning approv. 9/29/17. One 6-week position beginning the start of the school year.   • Assistant (JV) Girls Basketball Coach

    Under the direction of the head coach, help promote the girls basketball program, be responsible for coaching the junior varsity girls basketball team, assist with the varsity girls basketball team, and be a positive role model for the student athletes in the program.   • Reading and Math Tutors at Barnum Elementary

    Do you want to build a brighter future in our community? Barnum Elementary is looking for passionate, dependable people to serve with Minnesota Reading and Math Corps. Join us as a tutor and help students get on track to become successful readers. We’re looking to fill these positions for the 2017-18 school year:
    – PreK Literacy Tutor (Part Time)
    – Kindergarten Focus Tutor (Full Time)
    – K-3 Literacy Tutor (Full Time)
     – 4-6 Math Tutor (Full Time)
    Tutors come from many backgrounds and include recent high school and college grads, career changers, stay-at- home parents, and retirees. With training, support from onsite coaches, and evidence-based strategies, Reading and Math Corps tutors are well-equipped to change lives. No previous teaching experience necessary! Tutors earn a living allowance, education award to repay student loans or pay tuition, and federal student loan forbearance. Tutors may be eligible for health insurance and child care assistance.
