  • .5 FTE Elementary Music Teacher

Barnum Elementary is looking for a .5 FTE music teacher to begin with the 2020-2021 school year. MN licensure in vocal and classroom music is required. Candidate must demonstrate strong musical knowledge and ability, and be able to work well with our school’s music team.   • Special Education Long-Term Substitute Teacher, Beginning 9/1/20 for 12 Weeks

This is a 12-week special education teacher substitute position at Barnum Elementary School for a teacher out on maternity leave. An appropriate MN teaching license is required.   • Youth Development Specialist, Beginning August 17, 2020

This position is hired through True North AmeriCorps and will be hosted by Barnum Elementary. This is a one year position beginning August 17, 2020 and ending June 15, 2021. It will be 25-35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, between 8:30 am – 3:00 pm.

True North AmeriCorps is dedicated to improving graduation rates by enhancing K-5 students’ social emotional learning (SEL) skills through individualized mentoring and support. Members are trained in SEL assessment and skill building and youth program quality best practices to facilitate activities, infuse SEL into daily offerings, and seek out “real life teachable moments.” There is a monthly living allowance up to $1,190, and an education award up to $4,336.50.

Barnum Public Schools accepts applications on an ongoing basis for subs in the following positions:

  • Food Service Substitutes

Assist cooks in the preparation and serving of food as needed. Wash dishes and equipment used for preparing, serving, and eating school breakfasts and lunches.

  • Bus Drivers – Substitute
