• Preschool Assistant Teacher

We’re looking for a positive and creative person, who loves working with young children, to be a part of our quality preschool team. Our preschool program is for 4 & 5-year-olds and we offer both morning and afternoon classes. This is a full-time school year position, working Monday - Friday per the school calendar, with occasional evening hours. We value both indoor and outdoor learning so must be ready and able to spend time outdoors on a regular basis. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. • Paraprofessionals

We’re looking for a team player who enjoys kids, learning and helping others. Responsibilities include assisting special education teachers by providing extra assistance as directed to students on IEPs, including helping students with assignments, use of equipment, and personal care needs. Several positions available. This position is 7 hours a day on student contact days when school is in session, as well as a few training days each year. Must have either an A.A. degree, two or more years of education beyond high school or have passed or are able to pass a para pro test. Click here for the complete job description. • Bomber Club Assistant Teacher, Part-time

We’re looking for a team player, who enjoys kids, to supervise and engage our elementary aged youth (K-6), who are enrolled in Bomber Club, in fun and educational activities after school. We are in particular need of a quality person for the afternoon hours which are typically 2:30 -6:00 p.m., with some variation, on Mondays through Fridays when school is in session. • Substitute Teachers

Fill in for a classroom teacher following their sub plan. Must have a valid MN teaching license or a Short Call Substitute Teacher license (requires a 4-year degree – click Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board for more info).

• Substitute Special Education Paraprofessionals

Responsible for assisting special education teachers by providing extra assistance as directed to students on IEPs, including helping students with assignments, use of equipment, and personal care needs. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent plus either 2 years of higher education or have passed a para pro exam.

• Substitute Bus / Van Drivers

For morning and / or afternoon bus routes and / or drive for extra-curricular and field trips. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a CDL license with bus endorsement. If you aren’t licensed and are interested in driving, we will help you through the licensing process.

• Substitute Food Service Workers

Assist cooks in the preparation and serving of food as needed. Wash dishes and equipment used for preparing, serving, and eating school breakfasts and lunches. High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Substitute Housekeepers

Fill in for regular staff days off to ensure continuing of general cleaning of school property and other related duties as assigned by the Head Custodian.

• Early Childhood Substitute Teacher

Substitute as a teacher or teacher assistant in the early childhood classrooms in our elementary building. Must have a minimum of a 2-year degree.

For all substitute positions, stop in at the District office to apply or call 218-389-6978 x1001 with questions. The process includes new hire paperwork and some online training, and will take approximately one hour. Bring with you your application, driver's license and social security card, bank routing and account number (for direct deposit payment) and $22.50 for a background check. Background checks are required for all positions. Employment is dependent upon passing the background check.
