Superintendent
Barnum Public Schools is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as Superintendent beginning July 1, 2025. The Superintendent of Schools is directly responsible to the School Board for the general supervision, administration and coordination of school district programs, projects, and services and the overall operation of the school district. Salary range is $120,000 to $140,000, plus benefits including health and dental insurance, contributions to a tax sheltered annuity, paid leave, life insurance, long-term disability insurance.

Business Manager
Barnum Public Schools is looking for a Business Manager to begin July 1, 2025. The business manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the District. The business manager will prepare annual budgets, supply monthly budget balance and financial reports for the superintendent and school board, oversee finance related activities including revenues, expenditures, budgets, payroll, taxes, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, initiate all UFARS coding, and employ sound accounting practices. Advanced training in accounting or business management and/or school finance experience required. B.A. degree in accounting preferred. See Job Description for full details here.

Early Childhood Substitute Teacher
Substitute as a teacher or teacher assistant in the early childhood classrooms which are under the umbrella of Barnum Community Education. Must have a minimum of a 2-year degree. $80/day; $40/half day. Substitute Teachers
Fill in for a classroom teacher following their sub plan. Must have a valid MN teaching license or a Short Call Substitute Teacher license (requires a 4-year degree – click HERE for more info)

Substitute Special Education Paraprofessionals
Responsible for assisting special education teachers by providing extra assistance as directed to students on IEPs, including helping students with assignments, use of equipment, and personal care needs. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Substitute Bus / Van Drivers
For morning and / or afternoon bus routes and / or drive for extra-curricular and field trips. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a CDL license with bus endorsement. If you aren’t licensed and are interested in driving, we will help you through the licensing process.

Substitute Food Service Workers
Assist cooks in the preparation and serving of food as needed. Wash dishes and equipment used for preparing, serving, and eating school breakfasts and lunches. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Substitute Housekeepers
Fill in for regular staff days off to ensure continuing of general cleaning of school property and other related duties as assigned by the Head Custodian.
